Dr Kumar Somasundaram is a highly respected Consultant Paediatrician in the UK, offering expert private paediatric care at Nuffield Health and working within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. With extensive experience across the full spectrum of paediatrics, he is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents.

Dr Somasundaram specialises in general paediatrics and has broad expertise in paediatric cardiology, epilepsy, neurology, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology,nutrition and musculoskeletal issues, neurology, and nephrology. He has a special clinical interest in paediatric allergy, making him a sought-after children’s allergy specialist. He provides comprehensive paediatric allergy assessment, allergy testing, and immunotherapy services, supporting children with food allergies, eczema, asthma, hay fever, and other allergic conditions.

To further enhance his expertise in allergic disease, he completed an MSc in Allergy at the University of Southampton, strengthening his specialist knowledge in paediatric allergy.
